The European Union commits to explore the feasibility of a possible transdisciplinary science-policy interface for ocean sustainability, an Intergovernmental Panel for Ocean Sustainability (IPOS), taking into account existing relevant expertise, inter alia ocean related work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Intergovernmental science-policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
